this is johnny's thruster i just finished up for hime...it 5'8" 18.5" 2.25"....it has a lower entry rocker for paddle and trim speed but then has a solid kick in the tail for easy fast turns and it balances out the low entry rocker through turns. it has a single concave transistion to flat behind the rear fin. he got a nice medium thickness rail to have a little more float. he got the nose and tail a little wider than the standard and he wanted a curvy pulled in squash which will provide smoother turns. then he got the carbon fiber tail patches and front foot patches....soo sick...he picked it up today and he was pumped on it
this is my new 5'6" 19.25" 2.5" quad tootsie roll. i have been having fun playing around with these little quad pill guys and after riding one of my buddies quads i decided to make this one which has the same tail template as the other quads but a round nose and i narrowed up all the dimensions. it has a single concave to a tri plane (vee but with a flat spot in the middle but then buttt then i put a two narrow concaves running through the middle panel for more drive)starting just ahead of the fins and a flat kick in the tail for shred turns. the board has low straight entry rocker for better paddle and trim speed and then a balanced tail rocker that allows for easy turns without loosing any drive. although the middle is thicker the rails are foiled out to a nice pinched modern shortboard rail. i took this guy out today for its maiden voyange and she sure is a blast...super fast, tons of drive through bottom turns and really clean turns,,,catches every wave....also i got some carbon on it cause it only makes sense to have a lightweight board without sacrificing the longevity of the board. fcs fins sanded finish did a nice warm brown tint top and bottom free laped....surfing is really fun
